On Easter Sunday, Chris and I drove back from NYC, and on the way through my home town, we stopped at my parents' house to see everyone (Mom, Dad, and my three grandparents). I hadn't seen the grandparents since we made the announcement, so they all congratulated us on our expanding family. We were talking about the friends we had just visited in Rockland County. Their son, Connor, is just over 2 months old and weighed 14 pounds! He was wearing six month clothes.
My grandma (Dad's mom) said, "My sister weighed that much when she was born."
My response: "I hope that's not hereditary."

ReplyDeleteWow he is growing pretty quickly. Hope you have a nice healthy 6 pounder, they grow so quick. Chris weighed 8lb 4oz and doubled his weight at 6 months and Steve weighed in at 4lb 2oz so maybe somewhere in between for you.

My midwife said that one of her clients was two weeks overdue and delivered a 9lb 12oz baby without a problem, and she was built like me! That was oddly comforting.
