We got the pumps

Well, Chris has proven once again that he's the best husband anyone could ever want...after work today he drove up to UB North (another college in Buffalo) and bought the used breast pumps that the lady up there was selling. She let him have all three (a huge electric one, a small battery operated one, and a manual one) for $75, so I should be all set! Now all we have to do is get some new tubing and figure out how it all works...but we have months to get that all figured out.

It's nice to have this out of the way because as I believe I mentioned in an earlier post, it's not something that I wanted to put on my registry. Plus, it saved a ton of money and helped the environment as well! YAY for environmentalism!

I also scheduled an ultrasound at the hospital in Dunkirk (right around the corner from where we live), but we're going to see about going somewhere else, maybe a bigger place in Buffalo that has appointments on Saturdays. If I go to the hospital in Dunkirk, there's no way I can have the ultrasound without taking some time off work, and I really want to save those sick days for when the baby is born. We'll see how this plays out.

I didn't feel as sick today, which was a relief. Must just be something about Mondays! (I know everyone at work seems to suffer when Monday rolls around!) There was also a swine flu scare at my school because someone in our school went to Mexico. Everyone should know that the kid is fine--he was tested and he does not have it.

  1. When I first read the title of this post, I thought shoes (lol). This shows how long I've been out of the baby season. Hope you have another 'feel good' day today!
