Kicks

I've heard all sorts of tips on when I should feel the baby start to move, but I'm really trying to block out what people are telling me is "normal" because that's so different for everyone. (I hate the word "normal," anyway.)

It's been kind of hard to distinguish between the stomach gurgles that I've always felt and what might be Blueberry making his/her presence known, but I think I'm finally convinced that I'm feeling movement. On Friday, I even got Chris to feel it! (I think that was the most exciting part, sharing it with him. I thought about it a few times during the day and it made me smile.)

It seems to have happened around the same time for each of the last few days, (first thing in the morning), so it's become a habit to wake up, wait for Blueberry to say good morning, and then get out of bed. Like our midwife said, the baby just needs a little weight behind those kicks, so as it continues to grow (beyond its current weight of 5 ounces, according to babycenter.com), I know that I'll be able to feel the movements even more strongly.
