Freak show
I just twittered this, but then realized that it would be a good topic for a blog...I'm starting to feel like a freak show. People are clearly staring at my middle when they walk by me. Students, teachers, doesn't matter. The days of eye contact seem to be over. I don't feel like I'm that big, but it's obvious that I look different! I'm wondering if I need to buy myself a maternity jacket that actually buttons...that may help me hide my bulge a little better. I can still wear my regular jackets but I can't button them anymore.

Hahaha. Oh how funny. You know why some people stare? They are saying in their minds, "Oh my gosh, she is so totally cute being pregnant." "Wow, she doesn't look old enough to have sex." "I wish I had that top when I was pregnant." Ok, Ok, I was just trying to cheer you up. I don't know why people look at pregnant women's stomach, I guess it's the same way when people look at my big booty. I just think they be thinking they had one too.

ReplyDeleteIt's just kind of weird because it's obvious that they're "checking me out." I'm sure some of the kids are thinking, "I wonder if she's pregnant..." Actually, a couple kids came into my office today and said, "We heard a rumor about you!!" And of course I was able to confirm it. I was just a little shocked when these 9th graders guessed that I'm about 4 1/2 months! They're right!!!
