I learned something last week that changed my life (and this pregnancy) for the better. Not that the pregnancy or the life are bad in the first place, but this discovery rocked my world. Victoria's Secret carries maternity bras!
We had coupons for $10 off a $10 purchase, so I picked out 10 pairs of underwear--Chris would buy 5 and I would buy 5 so we could both use our coupons. As we were heading to the register, a lady stopped us and asked us if we had heard about the in-store promotion--they were offering $5 coupons if you tried on one of their new bras. I explained several things: 1) I have more bras than I could possibly need, 2) I'm pregnant and don't want to buy any more until I have a better idea about what I'm going to need, and 3) We already had coupons to use. She said that we could stack the coupons and that they carried maternity bras (something I figure I'll have to buy anyway), so I went over and started trying on bras.
I ended up with a cute little black one that I soon discovered wasn't as cute as I thought it was. I tried it on before I went to bed. Chris looked at me blankly--he didn't even say the old stand by that he says when he doesn't like something but doesn't want to hurt my feelings. He just stared, as if to say, "Is this the turn my life has taken? My wife's lingerie has been replaced by full-coverage maternity bras?"
But still, I'm happy. I don't mean to be snobby about bras, but Victoria's Secret bras truly are the most comfortable bras I've ever worn. It was SUCH a relief to learn that I wouldn't have to give them up.
Who knew that Victoria's Secret gift cards would end up being the perfect baby shower gift??? ;)

Now that's punkin! But I know the real reason behind Victoria's Secret....the secret is that they don't have anything for a plus size chic such as myself, except lotion. Have a happy evening.
