Hairy baby?

Wow, it's been almost a week since my last blog post? I guess sometimes I just get sick of talking about pregnancy, but I know I'm going to regret not keeping some sort of a journal. I guess the truth is that although I want to remember this stuff, I don't want to publicize it. Maybe I need to start posting to my private journal.

Anyway, on and off for the last couple of weeks I've had heartburn pretty badly. It doesn't seem to be tied to what or when I'm eating...sometimes I get it right after I've eaten, sometimes I get it between meals, and no food seems to help calm it down. A few things seem to flare it up, like my beloved fruit smoothies. I only drink a smoothie occasionally now, which bums me out because that was one of the healthiest things I ingested. All of the other foods I seem to want are junky things. I've been eating more refined flours than usual (like soft pretzels and saltines) because those things have always seemed to calm my stomach when I haven't felt well.

My midwife recommended Papaya Mint, but I can't find it in the stores. Maybe I'll end up just buying papaya enzymes (which she also said would work) at the health food store. I don't want to go out and buy a bunch of different remedies because I don't know if this is going to be a temporary thing or if I can expect it for the next several weeks/months/years!

I had heard a long time ago that heartburn means a hairy baby, and that's what the lady at GNC said when I went in looking for Papaya Mint. Only time will tell...

  1. You know, I have heard so much stuff that people have told me when I was pregnant, and if I would have listened to it all, I'm sure I would have had about fifty multiples. I'm not sure if heartburn means a hairy baby or not, because I had heartburn with everything I ate, whether it was healthy or not. When is your due date again?

  2. Please don't get tired of posting about your pregnancy; Blueberry will be upset. I look back at some of my old journals (on paper) and it's sooo much fun to be able to revisit the days of old (smile). Even if you post once or twice a week, you'll be glad you did.
